Have an ARD/IEP, 504 meeting, evaluation, discipline concern, or school decision you are unsure about?

In this consultation, we will talk through what is happening, identify the most important questions, and determine practical next steps for your family

Your $50 Special Education Strategy Consultation is a focused, one-on-one conversation designed to help you better understand what is happening, identify your most important concerns, and decide on practical next steps for your child.

You will speak directly with Lisa Flores an experienced special education advocate and a real person who will listen to your concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and help you think through next steps for your child. This is not an automated, AI-generated, or one-size-fits-all service.

In 30 minutes, you can get organized guidance from an expert that may otherwise take hours of searching, reading, and trying to sort through on your own. We will talk through your situation, upcoming school meetings, records, concerns, or questions so you can move forward feeling more informed and prepared.

During your consultation, you will receive:

  • One-on-one guidance from Lisa Flores, a bilingual special education advocate with more than a decade of experience supporting families.

  • A focused discussion of the concerns you share, such as an upcoming ARD, IEP, or 504 meeting; evaluations; services; accommodations; behavior or discipline concerns; communication with the school; or questions about next steps.

  • Help identifying the most important questions to ask and the information or records that may be useful to review.

  • A personalized verbal action plan based on your child’s needs, your family’s concerns, and the information available during the consultation.

  • Written follow-up notes summarizing key recommendations, questions, and next steps discussed during the consultation.

  • Clarity about whether additional advocacy support may be helpful or whether you may be ready to move forward independently.

  • No pressure to purchase ongoing advocacy services.

Not every situation requires ongoing advocacy services. Sometimes a parent simply needs help understanding the process, preparing for a meeting, organizing concerns, or deciding what to do next. This consultation is designed to give you clear, thoughtful direction—without pressure to commit to additional services.

You will leave with a better understanding of your options, the questions to consider, and practical steps you can take to support your child’s educational needs.

True North Advocacy Texas provides non-attorney special education advocacy and parent-support services. Consultations do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or guarantees of a particular school decision or outcome.

Why is there a $50 consultation fee?

Your consultation fee reflects dedicated time set aside to listen carefully, understand your concerns, review the information you share, and provide thoughtful guidance tailored to your child and family.

Other advocates also seek my perspective and guidance, and I value the opportunity to share that experience directly with families.
